Viljandi Summer Opera invites you to a special two-part concert in the first days of the new year, where the passionate world of Italian opera meets the unforgettable melodies of Broadway’s Golden Age.
The first half of the concert features beloved opera arias and traditional Italian songs performed by outstanding soloists of the Estonian National Opera, Kristel Pärtna and Jassi Zahharov. They will be joined on stage by Tallinn Brass Academy, featuring some of Estonia’s finest brass musicians.
In the second half of the evening, we travel straight from Italy to the Golden Age of Hollywood and Broadway. Ugala Theatre’s young and talented singing actors Merlin Kivi and Alden Kirss will transform into legendary stars for one evening: Marilyn Monroe and Frank Sinatra, performing their most famous hits. They will be accompanied by the Estonian Dream Big Band. The concert’s musical director and conductor is Mihhail Gerts.
An evening where two worlds meet – Italian temperament and romance alongside the glamour and sparkle of Broadway.
*The Piletitasku service fee will be added to the ticket price.
