A Walk Through The Forest is a new classical music event at the Arvo Pärt Centre and in the surrounding forest.
What does it feel like to listen to music inspired by silence, tranquillity and Nordic crispness while surrounded by silence, tranquillity and Nordic crispness? In the first part of the concert, we take listeners out of their comfort zone as, accompanied by a guide, they walk along the forest trail surrounding the Arvo Pärt Centre, stopping at four musical locations. The second part continues in the Arvo Pärt Centre’s traditional concert hall.
A Walk Through The Forest brings together nature, movement, the music of Arvo Pärt and Heino Eller, and all the human senses.
The musical experience is brought to you by young and talented students of the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre. Although they are at the beginning of their musical journey, their performances already demonstrate dedication, individuality and great potential. Perhaps among them are the great names of Estonian music of the future — but we have the opportunity to hear them already today, before they reach the major concert halls and professional stages.
As the weather in our beloved Estonia can sometimes be unpredictable, we assure you that whether the sky is sunny or filled with rain clouds, the walk through the forest is suitable for any weather!
