Among the rolling hills of Võrumaa lies a place blessed and protected by God, where time dances by in waltz steps, marsh marigolds bloom at your feet, and the place is simply called home. The bees of this land gather golden honey from the meadows, tasting of love itself, and dreams there are always light blue. Those who know the region say that a single day spent there is worth one hundred and seven lifetimes.
On her veranda, Grandma Maria's clock always shows the same time: the moment when her granddaughter Katariina arrives home on the morning bus. As Maria says, it shows the true time of Võrumaa.
The neighboring beekeeper is driven crazy by the clock's unmoving hands. He is fond of Maria, but expressing his feelings is difficult for him, and instead of speaking from the heart, they often find themselves arguing over trivial matters. Fortunately, Maria's granddaughter Katariina returns home every weekend, quietly building bridges between the beekeeper and her grandmother.
The Guardian of Võrumaa is a story about finding your way back home—to the home that lives in your heart.
